Craig Coker

Craig Coker has over 40 years experience in the planning, permitting, design, construction and operation of organics recycling facilities, processing animal manures, animal mortalities, food wastes, biosolids, yard trimmings and source-separated organic solid wastes, as well as in the marketing and sales of compost and compost-amended horticultural products. Mr. Coker has experience in 19 states and six countries with windrow composting, aerated static pile composting, aerated composting bins, invessel systems and both aerobic and anaerobic digestion. Mr. Coker is a licensed Waste Management Facility Operator, a certified Nutrient Management Planner and a USCC/SWANA Certified Compost Systems Manager. Mr. Coker is also a Senior Editor at BioCycle magazine. He is a New Zealander living in the U.S.

Dr. Marc Beyrouthy

Marc Beyrouthy has a passion for biodiversity, Lebanese flora and its conservation, botany and landscaping. He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at USEK, where he occupied many positions among them head of department of Agricultural Sciences, assistant to the Dean for projects and research, coordinator at the laboratory services and member of the green committee. He also participated in several EIA - Environmental Impact Assessment - and SEA - Strategic Environmental Assessment - projects in Lebanon and the Middle East. In 2016, he became the general manager and the chairman of Nature by Marc Beyrouthy. In 2019, he was appointed as advisor to the Lebanese Minister of Environment, Fady Jreissati.  

Terry Keene, P.E.

Terry Keene is a senior solid waste management expert. Mr. Keene holds the following positions: 

  • Senior Managing Engineer at Keene Environmental Consulting.

  • Senior Project Manager at MSW Consultants, LLC

  • Member of Board of Directors at Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP)

  • Chairman of Organics Committee at PROP.

Dr. Sophia Ghanimeh

​Dr. Ghanimeh holds the following positions:

  • Associate Professor at Notre Dame University - Louaize, Lebanon.

  • Chair, University Education & Student Development Committee at Air & Waste Management Association - USA.

  • Member of the Landfill Working Group at International Solid Waste Association (ISWA).

  • Member representative of academia at the national Solid Waste Sector Coordination Committee, appointed by the Minister of Environment, Fady Jreissati, until 2021.

Consulting interests: environmental solutions, anaerobic digestion, environmental impact assessment, environmental sustainability, solid waste management, water and wastewater treatment.
Research interests: biotechnology, solid waste processing and management, wastewater treatment, water reuse, climate change impacts and adaptation.

Scott Underhill

Mr. Underhill has 25 years of experience as an environmental engineer. His background includes the investigation, design, installation, and operation of remediation systems for soil, water, and air; design of water/wastewater treatment and solid waste disposal facilities; energy studies; and numerical modeling of environmental media. Mr. Underhill has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in environmental engineering, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a registered professional engineer in New York.  Mr. Underhill also has strong international experience having involvement in projects in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
